Reason Selling: "Doesn't suit my needs"
Square Body Enthusiasts Take Note! 1987 K5 Blazer- Lift, Tires, Upgrades!
For a short time- I am dropping the price $1500- to Just $3000! There are some other avenues I want to pursue- and frankly I want to see if anyone on Bisman is more than a watcher. Call it a social experiment.
Giving it another whirl. Cash is king, but I can understand that cash is a bit short these days with the inflation going on.
Mostly looking for a decent 4d, 4x4 LS powered hunting rig without 2.5 million miles on it. Well loved is ok- so long as it has been responsibly serviced. I will be pulling dipsticks, looking at components and welcome you to do the same.
Bought this based on pictures (was disappointed- but I gave my word to purchase), and have done a significant amount of work to it getting ready for the road.
K5 runs great, drives great. It's too tall for my purposes and as I am already deep into it, the time has come to find it a new home. For the country I hunt, this is impractical for 4 hunters- and is a bit tall for my uses.
Specs:
350 TBI- appears to be new, excellent oil pressure and gobs of power!
TH350 trans with 203 transfer case, lockouts to disable full time 4x4. Trans fluid looks brand new
12 bolt rear, posi, 10 bolt (Dana 44) front.
4" lift
33" tires with aluminum rims, spare included. Tires are new.
When I purchased it was mouse heaven- heater box and core removed, have new core for it.
Carpet has been removed as well- was mousy
Extra bushings for suspension, pitman arm has been replaced.
Yes, there is rust- I swear the square body platform started to rust when it was being assembled. It's not pretending to be a show vehicle. This was made to use. It is priced fairly for what it is. Please have a dollar amount in cash you are willing to offer, rather than "wassa bottom dolla". I am already taking a fairly drastic loss.
If you have to ask permission to buy it or trade, it probably isn't for you.
I have been driving it around town, hasn't been an issue at all.
Please don't make an offer for cash if you don't have it in hand.
ND titled and licensed. This rig is ready to hit the road.
Asking $4500/best offer. Please bear in mind I am deep in 5K territory here. My '69 is sitting while I am putting miles on this. There's roughly 1/2 tank of 2 year old gas in it.
Yes, the price has decreased to just $3000 cash. There are no gimmicks.
If the ad is active- you can believe that the Blazer is still available.
Starting the week of 7/22 I am going to start taking the lift out of it- who knows, I might just like it enough to keep it around!
Text is best.
Thanks for looking!
