Purebred German Shepard for Sale
No Papers. Has not been neutered! Sultan is his name and he will be three years old this February of 2025. He is already crate trained, trained to stay in the house as well as outside, and is a good family dog as well as protector. He does not get along with our cat as he does not like cats. We are rehoming him because of this and because he does whine a lot. When he is outside, he whines to come inside and whenever he is inside, he whines to be outside. If in ND, we can meet you someplace or you are free to come and pick him up. He also has been boarded 2 or 3 times and each time there were no issues. He got along well with the lady that boarded him. He takes to some people, but not others. Mostly, he does not like others other than our immediate family. The boarder lady won him over with him being in the crate and giving him treats and spending a little time with him while he was in the crate and then eventually he took to her. He has to wear a muzzle while at the Vet, he wears a muzzle whenever on walks, and he has traveled before, but short distances. He doesn't really chew other than his chew toys, but occasionally if in the house, he will pee every now and then. He doesn't like to be teased, he is a very serious dog, and he does not like his food or water played with either. He does not like his back touched or his feet played with, but he does like to be petted on the head or underneath the chin area. When clipping his nails, you have to have burgers, hot dogs, treats, and other food to bribe him so that he is distracted with eating while you clip his nails. The Vet has not clipped his nails as he is aggressive while at the Vet. He is able to get his muzzle off, therefore caution must be exercised with him as he is very intelligent and also a guard/attack dog. This is what he is bred to do. So if you are interested in a dog such as this, please give me a call. If think you are unable to handle him as he weighs about 95 pounds and is very strong, then maybe he is not for you. If you live in an apartment, I do not want him going to someone who lives in an apartment or a small area. I prefer that you have a house with a yard or a big yard or a farm or something. He also does not do well with other dogs. So if you already have other dogs, then he also is not for you. I am looking for someone with a house with a yard with preferably a family who is looking for a protector to add to the family. If you already have a cat or a dog, then he is not for you. We got our cat after we got him, but because we have mice, we have to keep the cat and we already had a Min Pin as well. He does get along with our Min Pin; however, he does not like any other dogs. Once again, if interested, please give me a call and you can meet him and he can meet you and see if you are a good fit. Also, we feed him Science Diet chicken dog food from Tractor Supply and if you switch him, he may get diarrhea. One last thing, he pulls while on the leash, and occasionally he will jump on you. If you have kids, especially little kids, supervision is always a must and is required. He has been a one owner dog to my wife and I and he will bond with very few people. We were fortunate to have him take to our boarder, but if you think you are going to have a neighbor or friend take care of him while you go on a trip, think again! GSDs are a large responsibility and please consider this before taking him in. If we are unable to find a good home for him, then we will just keep him. His outside fence is two 6x10x10 fence enclosures put together that were $400 a piece at Tractor Supply so with tax, we paid about $900 for both of them. If interested, you can buy them for $600 for both, but you have to come and pick them up. Ideally, you'll need a 7' x 12' trailer to haul them as their dimensions are 6x10x10. Thank you for looking. Please call or text.
