Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday; 7 am - 4 pm.
Type of Position: Full Time or Part Time; Hourly
Main Duties (may vary based on candidate):
- Harvest/ Slaughter of beef, hogs, sheep
- Fabricate whole carcasses into primals and retail cuts
- Cut, trim, bone out retail cuts and trimmings
- Packaging retail cuts (including paper wrapping and vacuum sealing)
- Grinding and stuffing trimmings associated with whole carcass meat processing
- Formulation and production of further processed meats including sausages and cured
whole muscle products.
- Daily cleaning, sanitising, assembly, and maintenance of equipment and facility associated
with whole carcass meat processing.
- Maintain cold storage organisation and inventory of multiple meat products
- Customer service including loading bulk meat orders
- Perform daily monitoring and documentation of food safety programs..
Desired skills and attributes:
- Self motivated
- Organized
- Ability to work independently
- Previous experience meat processing (preferred, not required)
- Training for all aspects of meat processing will be provided.
- Ability to lift 50-75# at one time
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
