Very well kept truck, fixed anything that came up right away. Has been an awesome truck, hard to let go. Some cosmetic issues from age which is to be expected. Some rust spots in the body that could easily be fixed.
Truck originally came from Florida, purchased there & brought it to North Dakota. It was used as the main Truck for the business. Everything (& more) listed below has been done within the last 3 years (30,000 miles)
Brand new cables! Injection pump has been completely gone through, New fuel nozzles, rod & main bearings, overhead ran, all new coolant lines, new fuel lines, new exhaust , new water pump, new clutch. All new u-joints, resealed brake saver, rebuilt aux transmission, new engine mounts, new aux transmission mounts. Rebuilt under body lift, rebuilt telescopic cylinder, new wear pads and main swivel pins & bushings. Straightened boom tubes as they had a slight bow from age & use. New hydraulic hoses for wheel lift. New wheel bearings all the way around, New brake shoes & drums. Front differentials were replaced last year (bearings started to make noise). Converted Steer axle to Hub Pilot (Have the Peterbilt wheels to convert drives) Complete rebuild on rear suspension & alignment. New weather striping on all doors and window seals in both driver & passenger doors.
Truck had 710,000 miles on odometer when it was replaced - Needle broke but odometer was still working)
Engine has blow by showing its age, can be ran as is but could be in-framed anytime (Not an expensive repair if just doing cylinder packs on the 3406B)
Used about a gallon of oil every 5K-6K miles. Rear structure leaks where it meets the block like most 3406B's do. Over $150,000 invested into rebuilding this truck, too much to list out. This truck is a must see! This Wrecker has aged well, it's in great shape and spec'd out for a great investment!
